Moments of 2010

Wow 2010 went by so fast! It seriously feels like it went by in such a blur! A lot of wonderful things happened this year, but I compiled a list of my Top 5 Moments.

1. Visiting California with 3 of my close friends! We saw almost everything and had such a wonderful time, complete with memories and endless photos!

2. Starting my nanny job. I began working for a wonderful family and watch 2 great kids! I love watching Mandie go through all the stages of child development and doing fun outings with Michael.

3. Spending lots of time with family, especially throughout the months of October (my sister came home for a visit), November (Thanksgiving), and December (Christmas!).

4. Concerts. I attended quite a few concerts which were a lot of fun.

5. Visiting the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! I had been waiting months to see it, and it was everything I could have hoped for.

Christmas movies

I seriously had my Fa la la on last night! I baked the cookies from the recipe I gave you yesterday for Peanut Butter Kisses while listening to the Glee Christmas album. If it sounds like it was fun, it was. I really have enjoyed baking recently. With a little help from Martha and the holidays, I just turn into Suzie Homemaker. I love it!

Each Christmas it's pretty much a given that cable TV shows Christmas themed movies over and over again. Although they show new ones, there are those classics that you just go back to each year. Sometimes, you even watch the same movie several times, in fear that you won't get enough of it before the holiday season is over. I get that way with a couple movies, but here are my Top 10 Christmas Movies.
1. Elf. I watch it every year a minimum of 5 times. I absolutely love it! I've already caught this one on TV twice this year. I own it, so I plan on watching it a couple more times. "Buddy the Elf, what's your favorite color?"

2. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. I watch this one at least 3 times each year. My favorite character might be Aunt Bethany, she is so funny! I love when she says the pledge of allegiance during grace!

3. A Christmas Story. This one is just a classic!

4. Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. I've already caught this one on TV this year! I used to watch this movie at least once a week when I was in middle school. I can pretty much quote the entire movie, it's sad. "You was here, and you was smooching with my brother!"

5. Love Actually. This movie isn't really about Christmas, it is just set at Christmas time. Therefore, I feel it appropriate to watch every Christmas, duh.

6. How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The original cartoon, not the Jim Carrey version (I've never seen that version because I just really don't like him as an actor, sorry). This is a classic and a must watch each year!

7. The Polar Express. Not necessarily a must watch every year, but I put it on the list because it is just an amazing and remarkably done movie.

8. A Charlie Brown Christmas. Yet another classic that holds the spirit of Christmas.

9. The Santa Clause. I used to love this movie when I was a kid. It's such a great movie.

10. It's a Wonderful Life. Okay, I'm going to admit something, I've never seen this movie. It's on everyone's top Christmas list, so this is my year to watch it. I WILL watch it this year!

Fa La La La La La La La La

I am very strict when it comes to my Christmas music. I will NOT listen to it before Thanksgiving as a rule to myself. Well, now that Thanksgiving is behind us, we can officially welcome the Christmas music! There are some great Christmas albums that artists have released this year. Head over to iTunes and check out the new albums and albums that are on sale for $7.99! Here's a list of the top 10 downloaded songs on iTunes right now.

1. All I Want For Christmas is You - Mariah Carey
2. O Holy Night - Glee Cast (my all time favorite Christmas song!)
3. Christmas/Sarajevo 12/24 - Trans-Siberian Orchestra
4. Baby, It's Cold Outside - Glee Cast
5. Jingle Bell Rock - Bobby Helms
6. Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree - Brenda Lee
7. Last Christmas - Glee Cast (love this song too!)
8. It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year - Andy Williams
9. Christmas Canon - Trans-Siberian Orchestra
10. The Christmas Song - Nat "King" Cole

Albums to think about getting are: The Glee Christmas Soundtrack, The OC Mix 3 - Chrismukkah, Ella Fitzgerald Christmas album, and the Elf Soundtrack. I will probably be downloaded a few of these. I already have The OC one and it's great!

I am thankful

Happy Thanksgiving!!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday! With family or not, enjoy this excuse to overeat! Also, today the ads go out for Black Friday...so go grab yourself a newspaper and map out your plan! There is so much to be thankful for and here is my Top 10:
1. Family. It's always great to have a supportive family, and I love mine so!
2. Friends. You guys are always there for me and I love you :)
3. Health. I am so thankful that I am in good health!
4. Job. With the economy still in its sucky state, I'm thankful to be employed by a wonderful family.
5. Travel. I'm so thankful that I had the opportunity to travel to Europe last year, and to California this past summer. I plan to take many more trips in the future.
6. Weather. Sometimes I wish that I lived somewhere else, but Florida really does have some fantastic weather. It's pretty much always beautiful out. I can see why all the old people want to live here. I take it for granted often, but I really do live in a paradise, just steps from the beach.
7. Exercise. You can complain all you want about having to work out, but it really is the best thing for your body. I have become to really love my daily workout and really hate when I have to skip it. This morning, my family and I did the Turkey Trot 5k and had a blast!
8. Music. I wouldn't survive without music. It's my outlet and I can't run without music blaring in my ears. Most genres, I love.
9. Technology. What would life possibly be like without my iPod, MacBook, TV, BlackBerry and Facebook??
10. Today. I am thankful for each and everyday!!

Carving your bird

I'm a little late in writing this post for the day, but better late than never right? Well on this Top 10 Thursday, I wanted to prepare you for Turkey Day. The best way to prepare you is to help you in your carving skills. Here are 10 steps to carve your delicious, juicy turkey. Thanks Martha!

1. Gather your materials.

2. Preparation. Before carving, let the turkey stand at room temperature for about 20-30 minutes to allow the juices to saturate the meat. Transfer turkey to carving board. Cut through the trussing with scissors.

3. Remove Drumsticks. Place the knife against the thigh and cut down to expose the leg's second joint.

4. Sever Drumsticks. Apply pressure at the joint with the knifepoint; twist the knife, and cut throug to sever the drumstick.

5. Slice Neck Cavity. Slice open the neck cavity with an oval incision that allows you to remove the stuffing while leaving the skin intact.

6. Scoop Stuffing. Use a long-handled spoon to scoop out the stuffing from the body cavity; transfer it to a serving bowl.

7. Slice Thigh Meat. Slice the thigh meat from the bone (the dark meat should be tender from resting in the juices).

8. Slice Breast. Place the knife horizontally at the bottom curve of the bird's breast, and slice in toward the rib cage to create a "guide cut." Then make a slice from the top down alongside the rib cage. Be sure to cut carefully.

9. Create Slices. Cut vertically through the breast meat to create medallion slices, being careful to preserve some of the skin on each slice. Repeat steps 6 and 7 on the other side of the breast. Place the knife at the first wing joint. Insert the knifepoint and twist it to sever the wing. Repeat with the other wing.

10. Enjoy!!

Flawless nails

I love getting manicures, but hate that the polish doesn't last very long. I usually paint my nails at home every week although I get irritated because I get little air bumps on my nails. It's beyond annoying and doesn't look very good after working very hard to keep a steady hand. Last week, I asked my manicurist for some tips on how to achieve flawless nails and to avoid the air bumps. I decided that this knowledge shouldn't be just mine, but that I should share the wealth. Here are my Top 10 Tips for flawless nails.

1. Don't shake. Don't shake the bottle, but rather roll the bottle in your palms to blend. My manicurist told me that shaking causes the bubbles, which can stay in the bottle for days.

2. Don't shake/blend clear. The clear polish does not need to be blended, so just apply it. It's thicker, so the blending isn't necessary. Bubbles caused from shaking the clear can last even longer than colors.

3. Don't use too much. Globbing too much on causes a mess and will cause your polish to chip faster.

4. Only remove one side. Once you dip the wand into the bottle, only scrape one of the sides off for the perfect amount.

5. Use a dot. When applying onto your nail, dot the center of your nail first, then use strokes. The dot in the center helps to distribute the polish evenly. So clever!

6. Use the corner. Use the corner of the brush to stroke the sides of the nail.

7. Use pressure. Don't just glide the polish on your nail. Apply pressure and it won't allow the bubbles to form.

8. Avoid chips. After your 2 coats of polish, swipe the tip of your nail with a vertical swoop.

9. Base, 2, and Top. Always apply a base coat, 2 coats of color, and a top coat. The base seems unnecessary, but it is important to protect your nails from yellowing.

10. Let it dry. The manicurists don't have enough time between appointments to allow your nails to dry fully, so they just quickly do it. When you are painting your nails yourself, let the coats dry between coats to have the best result.

HERE'S MORE TIPS!!
11. Use vitamin E oil on your cuticles. It heels cracked cuticles and makes them so soft.

12. When you're at the salon, beware the drying station with the light. The light is very harmful for your hands and will age them if you get manicures often.

13. If you have 2 half empty bottles (or more) of polish in similar shades, say a bunch of red/pinks, combine them to make your own unique shade.

14. Polish with glitter or shimmer in it lasts longer than flat colors.

15. Bring your own polish with you to the salon. It will call your inner germaphob self and you can fix your nicks at home.

Wardrobe must haves

Trying to revamp your wardrobe and just don't know where to start? First of all, go through your entire closet and purge what doesn't fit and/or you haven't worn in a year. Next, fill in the holes with closet staples that never go out of style. Invest in these items and you will not be sorry.

1. Little Black Dress. We hear this all the time, but it is very essential for a woman. A simple black dress can go a long way and can be used for multiple occasions.

2. Black Blazer. Find the perfect one that flatters your body, pair it with jeans and a button down for a chic look.

3. White Button Down Shirt. Invest in a new one every season. You can never go wrong when you pair this with a pair of jeans, dress pants, or a skirt.

4. Trousers. Make sure they are cut perfectly for your shape. If you're only buying one pair, buy in black or navy. Make sure you match the length of the pants with the height of your shoe.

5. Beige Trench Coat. Or camel, which is hot this season. This goes with everything.

6. Big Black Bag. Or in camel. This holds everything and is perfect to shove things in when you have kids.

7. Great Pair of Jeans. You should have one pair that fits you perfectly. This can be worn with everything.

8. Perfect Pumps. Make sure they fit perfect and feel great. Peep toes are hot too.

9. Statement Jewelry. The focal point of an outfit. Pick one item to build your item around.

10. Diamond Studs. These are chic, timeless, and so beautiful. They don't really have to be diamonds, they can be fake! If buying fake, buy them smaller.

Most haunted places

Looking for something new to do during your travels? Trade your usual fun-in-the-sun vacation for one of these strange phenomena, unexplainable events or mysterious murder locations. These are the Top Ten most haunted places in the world.

1. The Amityville House. If you haven't seen the movie (disappointingly not scary), this house is located on 112 Ocean Avenue in Amityville, N.Y. and was the site of a brutal family murder in which 23 year old Ronal DeFeo, Jr. shot and killed his parents and 4 younger siblings on November 14, 1974. A little over a year later, George and Kathy Lutz and their 4 children moved in, knowing about the tragic events that took place. Soon after moving in, strange things began to happen.

2. Eastern State Penitentiary. Built in 1829 in Philadelphia, Penn. was the first prison to institute solitary confinement, which is widely believed to have caused mental illness among its prisoners. Abandoned in 1971, there are rumors of strange happenings. Cell Block 12 is famous for is disembodied laughter, and one guard tower appears on some nights to be occupied by a shadowy figure keeping watch over the empty prison.

3. Edinburgh Castle. This castle in Scotland was constructed as a military fortress in the early 12th century. Haunted tours are offered in its dungeons and in 2001 it became the site of one of the largest paranormal investigations in history. A team of 9 researchers and over 200 members of the public explored the castle's forgotten chamber and secret passages. The public was not told which areas were haunted and 51% reported paranormal experiences, while 35% did so in the non-haunted areas.

4. Gettysburg Battlefield. The battle of Gettysburg lasted for 3 days and was one of the bloodiest in American history. 50,000 young men died and it said that the site is haunted by fallen soldiers unable to accept their untimely fate.

5. The Myrtles Plantation. This estate is in St. Francisville, La. and was built in 1795 and is considered one of America's most haunted locales. It allegedly hosts several ghosts, one of the most popular tales concerns a former slave named Chloe, who as legend has it, had her ear chopped off by her master for eavesdropping. She allegedly sought revenge by poisoning a birthday cake which killed 2 of the slave master's daughters. Chloe was said to have been hung by fellow slaves and lingers around the plantation.

6. The Queen Mary. A former luxury ocean liner and war ship, it was purchased by the city of Long Beach in 1967 and transformed into a hotel. Among the ghosts reportedly still hanging around are a sailor who died in the ship's engine room, a "lady in white," and children who drowned in the ship's pool.

7. The Tower of London. This was built by William the Conqueror in the 11th century as a prison. Among the ghosts that haunt the building are Anne Boleyn, the wife of Henry VIII who was beheaded in 1536; Lady Grey, who was spotted by a guardsman on Feb. 12, 1957, on the 403rd anniversary of her death; and Sir Walter Raleigh.

8. The Whaley House. Located in San Diego, this house was classified as haunted in the 1960s by the U.S. Commerce Department. The Travel Channel has also claimed it as America's most supernatural home. The earliest ghost was "Yankee" Jim Robinson, who was hanged on the site in 1852. When James Whaley built the house in 1857, he claimed to hear Robinson padding loudly through the halls. Whaley and his wife are also said to inhabit the house, announcing their presence with cigar smoke and perfume.

9. The White House. According to lore, some of its inhabitants felt such ties to the seat of the American power that they chose to linger long after their deaths. If you believe the whispers, the ghost of Abigail Adams (wife of John) does laundry in the East Room, while Dolley Madison's spirit likes to lurk around the Rose Garden, and the Lincoln Bedroom may be the site of visits from Honest Abe.

10. The Winchester House. This house isn't actually haunted, but it is still one of the spookier construction projects in history. After the death of her husband and child, Sarah Winchester (the wife of the rifle-maker's son) consulted a seer who proclaimed her family had been killed by the ghosts of those who died of bullets from her family's guns. The seer suggested that only perpetual construction on the family's mansion could mollify these spirits, which is what Sarah ordered. Workmen labored on the property every hour of every day for 38 years. The 160-room estate is very bizarre, with staircases leading to nowhere, doors that open onto brick walls, or ten-foot drops, and a window with an etched-glass spider-web motif.

I can hear the bells

Happy Top Ten Thursday!
Two of my good friends that I've known since high school are getting married this Saturday and I couldn't be happier for them! I wanted to discuss something about weddings for this Top Ten List, so here are the Top Ten overplayed first dance songs at weddings. I found this list a while back and I didn't realize how repetitive wedding songs really are. Though they get redundant and are extremely overplayed, they are classic staples for a wedding and I love them! Courtesy of Time.
1. At Last - Etta James. Who doesn't love this song??
2. What a Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong
3. I Only Have Eyes for You - The Flamingos
4. Unchained Melody - The Righteous Brothers
5. From This Moment On - Shania Twain. I used to love this song and pictured myself dancing to it (when I was like 12)
6. The Way You Look Tonight - Frank Sinatra. This song has been redone a million times, but I love it every time. I love the Michael Buble version. I'll probably be cliche and use this song.
7. Amazed - Lonestar.
8. Wonderful Tonight - Eric Clapton. Love this song!
9. It Had to Be You - Harry Connick Jr. His voice is so dreamy.
10. Unforgettable - Nat King Cole.

Blood pumping

I work out every weekday and have experimented with quite a broad spectrum of music to exercise to. Some that I thought would be perfect I ended up hating, while some I over looked turned out to be the best running songs. I have a great mix of tunes that I usually just put on and let play that have been working great for me lately. Listening to the same songs in the same order everyday can be a little boring, but these are the Top 10 songs that I find get my blood pumping and I haven't tired of yet.

1. 1st Period: The Queen and I - Gym Class Heroes. This song is first on my workout playlist and is a great warm up song.

2. The Line - Battles. This was on the Eclipse Soundtrack and is a great song. It starts off slow, but then builds. Once it gets to the fast part I feel like I'm in a video game, running from the fire balls.

3. B.O.B. - Outkast. Oldie, but a goodie. It's super fast and gets you wanting to run really fast.

4. Teddy Picker - Arctic Monkeys. I do love me some indie music and I love the beat of this song for cardio.

5. Toxic - Britney Spears. I love this song and the beat.

6. Outta Your Mind - Lil Jon & LMFAO. They did a hip hop routine to this song on So You Think You Can Dance. If you don't like songs that curse, I recommend downloading the edited version.

7. Church - T-Pain. This song gets my hips swaying for some reason. Good tempo for jogging.

8. We Run This - Missy Elliott. I love this song! I love the "Tonto" music, makes me want to do the freeze poses for "Tonto, jump on it..."

9. Do It Again - The Fire and Reason. Fun girl band song to do cardio, etc.

10. Sweet Disposition Remix - The Temper Trap. The original version of this song is really slow, but the remix isn't. This is a download must!

10 songs won't get you through an hour long workout, so here are some more good songs you can download:
11. Seven Nation Army - The White Stripes
12. She's Got The (Woo-Hoo) - Sugar Ray
13. Clap Your Hands - Sia
14. Fuego - Pitbull
15. Get Crazy - LMFAO
16. Imma Be - Black Eyed Peas
17. The New Workout Plan - Kayne West
18. Bang Bang - K'naan & Adam Levine
19. Ride to California - Paper Tongues
20. Percussion Gun - White Rabbits

Enjoy your workout! Happy Top Ten Thursday!

Top 10 shows

Happy Top Ten Thursday!

There have been some great shows on television, both still on and others that rest in peace. I thought it would be fun to list my Top 10 Favorite Shows that have ever aired. Keep in mind, these are my opinions, sorry if you don't agree!
1. Lost. The.Best.Show.Ever. So sad to see it go, and I am probably one of the few that actually liked the way they ended it. That show got my mind working, constantly wondering what the heck was happening on that island! Plus, I loved Jack. A lot.

2. Friends. I absolutely love watching reruns of this show. They are funny after the 10th time. Everything in life can be related to Friends, I guarantee it.

3. The Office. I've never watched the British version, so this is pertaining to the American version. The shinanigans that go on in that office are just so great!

4. Modern Family. A great new show, that even won an Emmy! It is hilarious and comparably funny to The Office, in my opinion.

5. Gossip Girl. I love the drama and fashion of this show. XOXO.

6. Glee. Who the heck doesn't love Glee?? I can't help it, I'm a Gleek at heart!

7. The OC. I watched this show when I was in high school. I would race home from youth group to watch it (back in the day before DVR). All of my friends made fun of me, then they converted. I don't blame them, how could you resist Seth Cohen?

8. Gilmore Girls. I can relate this show to my life with my sister and mom. We are very much like them when we are together. Loved it and love reruns!

9. Ugly Betty. I was so sad to see it go. Like Gossip Girl, I loved the fashion aspect of the show and the drama was hilarious!

10. So You Think You Can Dance. Dance. Dance. What a great show! Did I mention that we saw Neil and Dominic while waiting in line for the Price is Right? I was 'dancing' with 'glee'! (puns intended.)

Those are/were some of my favorite shows on TV, how about you?

DJ, turn it off!

Happy Top Ten Thursday!

I must say, I really love music. I listen to wide range of genres and pretty much like it all. However, every now and then a song comes along that makes me want to throw my shoe at the radio. There isn't always a reason for hating the song, sometimes I like it at first and it gets overplayed. Most of the time though, I hate the singers voice or the vibe of the song. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion...so don't hate me for hating these songs. But, if I hear these songs one more time, radio personalities will suffer:
1. "California Gurls" by Katy Perry featuring Snoop Dogg. I have hated this song since the first time I heard it. The beat is annoying, the topic is annoying, and Snoop Dogg is annoying. Thank God that Katy Perry has a new single out, so they can give this one a rest.

2. "Love The Way You Lie" by Eminem featuring Rihanna. I like the Rihanna part, but can not stand Eminem. I think he has the most annoying rapping voice after Snoop Dogg, and is so whiny.

3. "Not Afraid" by Eminem. I just hate Eminem. Why the heck is he all over the radio again? I thought we were rid of him in 1999 after "My Name Is".

4. "I Like It" by Enrique Iglesias. If this is supposed to be a fun, dance party song, I'm not feeling it.

5. "Soul Sister" by Train. I love Train, their album 'Save Me San Francisco' is wonderful! But, this song has been overplayed. I liked it at first but now it's ruined for me.

6. "Alejandro" by Lady Gaga. I like Lady Gaga's songs, but this one is just obnoxious.

7. "Baby" or anything by Justin Bieber. At first, I thought his voice was Miley Cyrus. I don't understand why he is so popular with older people. I understand middle schoolers liking him, but really Kim Kardashian?

8. "The Only Exception" by Paramore. I like Paramore, but this song is way too repetitive.

9. "Break Your Heart" by Taio Cruz. Come on dude, at least write a chorus...don't just repeat the same 6 words over and over again.

10. "Your Love Is My Drug" by Ke$ha. I like some of her songs, but this one is annoying.

Beauty secrets

Happy Top Ten Thursday!

On most days, I watch The Today Show and The Doctors, and I learn a lot! There are always beauty and fashion secrets (those are my favorite sessions) that give such great information. I also read a lot of magazines each month. I'm constantly studying! I thought it would be great to share with you some of the things I've learned from those shows and mags, hopefully you will find them as helpful as I have!

1. Brushes. To wash your makeup brushes, stick them in the dishwasher then lay out to dry. If you are in a hurry, get some brush cleaner.

2. Exfoliate. It is important to exfoliate your skin twice a week. It will allow your expensive face washes to work better. Do not use apricot scrub because it is too rough and will scratch your skin, but rather use pineapple and papaya scrubs with lactic acid.

3. Baby Powder. Use this when you need to freshen up your underarms, to degrease your hair, when you are chaffing between your legs, and to keep a cut from bleeding (razor cut on leg from shaving anyone?)

4. Bad breath? It probably means you haven't hydrated enough, so chug 2 glasses of water. Also, make sure you brush your tongue and the gum lining your teeth. Parsley is a natural breath freshener, so if you have some on your plate eat it.

5. Spoon.  If you discover a zit on your face and its not the most opportune moment for it to pop up, heat up a spoon under hot water for about 10 seconds then press the underside on the blemish. It wont stop the pimple from coming, but it will hold it off for a couple hours and decrease the size when it does come.

6. Scotch Tape. You can put it over an emerging blister on your foot and give your slippery shoes traction (double stick). Also, if you have an ingrown toenail, fold up a piece of tape 2 or 3 times and wedge between the toe and nail.

7. Sunscreen. Did you know that 5 sunburns increases your risk of melanoma by 50%? If you get a burn that scabs, it increases it even more. Use sunscreen! It's so easy, just get a moisturizer with it and your set.

8. Shower Poufs. I'm sure you've heard it for years that shower poufs are unsanitary and have lots of bacteria. This is false. The synthetic material they are made of repels bacteria and it's good for your skin, so scrub away! Plus, you won't use as much body wash!

9. Washing clothes. For some reason, I've talked to so many people that don't know the rules of washing their clothes. Wash with like colors, i.e. darks, lights, towels, sheets. Wash your darks in cold water to prevent bleeding. Do not, I repeat do not wash your clothing or sheets with towels. This will tear apart the fibers and will cause pilling (those little balls that form on the surface of the clothing), making it rough and ugly.

10. Splinters. Put a piece of well-ripened banana skin pulp-side down on the affected area, and cover the whole thing with a bandage. The enzymes will help draw out the foreign matter. Cool huh?

Some of these tips are crazy, but true. Have any other weird secrets?

Top 10 ways to waste time

If you're anything like me, you waste a lot of time browsing random websites. I have quite a few websites that are bookmarked and that I visit on a regular basis. If you find yourself bored, visit some of these sites. I assure you, you won't be disappointed. Here are this weeks Top Ten:

1. PerezHilton.com - I read this site every single day. I thank Perez for keeping me up to date with celebrity gossip!

2. CocoPerez.com - This is Perez Hilton's fashion website. I read this every day too.

3. Facebook.com - This is a no-brainer. If I don't get on my computer, I most definitely get on my phone everyday.

4. StuffWhitePeopleLike.com - A hilarious website! The writer of the website posts a variety of things that "white people like." It's freaky how dead on he is. I am guilty of over half.

5. 27bslash6.com - This website is written by David Thorne, a man in Australia. This website is hilarious! He is very very very sarcastic and shares emails that he has conversed with people. Most of the emails either end in the other person telling him "F-You" or he just rants enough (telling stories that have nothing to do with the matter) that the person gives in to whatever he is asking of them.

6. www.mil-millington.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/things.html - This website is written by Mil Millington, a man in the UK who lives with his girlfriend and their 2 kids. He has compiled a list of "Things My Girlfriend and I Have Argued About." Pretty hilarious arguments, if you asked me. Mil Millington has also written a few books, one of which I just finished reading, "Love and Other Near Death Experiences," which was hilarious.

7. BoredAtWork.com - This website has tons of links, varying from videos to blogs to whatever.

8. Sephora.com - I love perusing this website, wishing I could have it all.

9. dafont.com - I want a tattoo with some sort of script, so I am in search of the perfect font to use. Dafont is great! You can put in words that you would like to see in different fonts, then download them for free.

10. textsfromlastnight.com - Hilarious website of texts sent the night before, mostly with alcohol in their system.

I view several other websites on a normal basis, but these are by far my favorites. Enjoy wasting time and Happy Top Ten Thursday!!

Got any other good websites to share??

Top 10 Places to Visit

Happy Top Ten Thursday!
To motivate myself to write more often, I'm giving myself a goal. On different days throughout the week, I will have a specified thing to do for that day. Every Thursday will now be "Top Ten Thursday."

Top Ten Places I Want to Visit:

1. New York City.  I really want to visit NYC during the holiday season, where everything sparkles. I think I will really like that city and could see myself living there, even though I've never been there.

2. Hawaii. Surf, sun, sand. Need I say more?

3. Ireland. I want to marvel at the greenery and experience the people there.

4. Scotland. The people in Scotland are said to be the nicest people ever. We met a couple on our tour of Napa Valley and they were the sweetest and most welcoming people. I'd love to be in a country where everyone is so nice! Plus, isn't there accent the coolest? Also, I want to search for Nessie...I'm sure I'd find her!

5. Greece. My hometown of Tarpon Springs, FL has the largest Greek population outside of Greece. I love the culture, and have seen some beautiful pictures of Greece. All those white houses on the cliff looking out onto a bright blue ocean. Ahhh beauty.

View of Tuscany through the window of the train.
6. Tuscany, Italy. I have been fortunate to visit Italy (Rome and Florence), but didn't get the opportunity to visit Tuscany. On the train from Rome to Florence, I could see it out the window and it was sheer beauty. A nice wine tasting experience in Tuscany wouldn't be so bad either. Oh, and I want to go to Venice as well. I want to ride in a gondola boat haha.

7. Las Vegas. Glitter, gambling, clubs. This isn't a place that is necessarily on the top of my list, but it is definitely something I want to experience once in my life. I'm not a big gambler (the sight of watching my money disappear stresses me out) and clubbing isn't exactly my scene, but I think I could make an exception in Vegas. Hopefully I wont either wake up married or with a random baby in a closet, tracing my steps from the night before. (Movie references, sorry if you didn't get it.)

8. Figi. Doesn't that photo just scream relaxation? This place would be ideal for a honeymoon, or for an anniversary. Definitely the ideal for romance and for enjoying your surroundings.

9. Germany. My great grandparents were from Germany, and I'm somewhere around 70% German, so I'd love to see where my family originated from.

10. Egypt. It seems very hot there, but I'd trade the heat for seeing the Sphinx and a bunch of pyramids. So much history!

Other things I want to see: (I'm exceeding the limit a bit...)
The Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, Africa, China, Alaska, Nashville, Australia, Yosemite National Park
There's more, but I'll spare you and stop there. More Top Ten Thursdays to come!
