I saw the sign

Day 5.

Starting the day off, we drove down some of the streets that celebrities live on. Such beautiful and gynormous houses! We saw the houses of: Bradley Cooper, John Goodman, Sylvester Stallone, and the gates of Steven Spielberg and Tom Cruise. Next we made our way to Beverly Hills, 90210. We got some deliciousness at Sprinkles, an amazing cupcake shop (I got a delectable coconut one), then hit up Rodeo Drive. We didn't spend too much time on Rodeo Drive, because everything is so expensive!

We went to the Farmer's Market for lunch, which was different than I would have expected. I thought there were going to be tons of tents, but there was just one reallly big one, with tons of vendors underneath. Any type of food you are in the mood for, they have it. They even have a cool hot sauce shop that I bought some goodies in.

The next thing on our list was to see the Hollywood sign up close and personal. So, we grabbed a milkshake from Millions of Milkshakes (yum!) and took this amazingly curvy road to get as close as possible. We got very close. We could see the lines in the letters and everything!
After countless jumping pictures off of a rock, which I'm sure I will have lasting injuries from, we made our way back down (almost as scary as the way up). On our way down, we stopped at a looking point, which allowed you to view Los Angeles from way up high...very cool. Did you know that the fines for smoking or causing a fire is $541? Me neither. Where do you think they came up with that number?
From there we went to Malibu, to Zuma Beach for the sunset. I must admit, there aren't as many colors in the sky as in FL...so on that technicality, we win! However, the sky was beautiful nonetheless and we very much enjoyed it. After watching the sun set, we ate dinner at Neptune's Net in Malibu.

And that concluded our days in LA. Do not fear...there are many more CA posts from San Francisco, Orange County, and San Diego!
